May 19, 201511 yr I believe Devin Booker may be the most underrated player in this draft. It looks like he is going to go around #15 . I think 5 years from now people will look back at that as the best bargain in this draft if he goes that low. His athleticism was underrated by many but he showed out big time on that in the combine. He has the size. He is a pure shooter. I believe he has the drive, work ethic and determination to be the best that will make him an elite NBA player in his career. There is no bigger bargain in this draft. I will pose these two questions for discussion: 1. Who do you think are the 3 players that are most underrated in this draft? 2. What 5 players do you think will most likely be all stars in 5 years?
May 19, 201511 yr Chad Ford has him going in the top 10. The 4 teams remaining in the NBA playoffs are the 4 best 3 point shooting teams in the league I believe I saw. Game has changed. A deadeye shooter like Booker is something everyone wants.
May 19, 201511 yr Author I figured he might move up after what he did at the combine. The 3 guys on cbssports.com (Parrish, Harper, Vecenie) all had him around 15 but that might not be updated. Draft Express has him at 12, Walterfootball.com has him up to 10, nbadraftnet has him at 13, Bleacherreport has him going 19. If he goes in the double digits, I think he is the best bargain in the draft.

Didn't realize that, but I've been of the opinion lately that the more success Golden State has in the playoffs, the more a player like Booker sees their stock continue to rise.

Just looked it up, and it's not the best in terms of %, but they are the 4 tops in the league in made 3 pointers.

May 19, 201511 yr Author They have been talking about 3 pointers a lot on Mike and Mike and if I recall correctly, the teams that are going far in the playoffs the past few years are the teams that attempt the most 3 pointers.
May 19, 201511 yr He can drill it, and I hope he has a hell of a career but he is cotton candy soft right now. He better knock down a few deep balls a night, because defensively, he is a huge liability until he gets stronger and/or more physical.

I agree 5 years out he's going to be looked at as a bargain regardless. He's going to make some people regret passing on him.
May 19, 201511 yr He's going to be a good fit on the right team. I'm not sure I buy best bargain the the draft. I think his ceiling is Kyle Krover type player.

I am not as sold on Booker being a huge impact player at the next level like many are.... at least not certain of it. I see JJ Redick.
May 20, 201511 yr I can buy this. I am not as sold on Booker being a huge impact player at the next level like many are.... at least not certain of it. I see JJ Redick. He's much more athletic than Redick.
May 20, 201511 yr Author I think Booker's athleticism gives him a higher ceiling than Korver or Reddick. Booker posted the best time at the NBA combine in the lane agility drill by a wide margin.
