I have nothing but respect for Bobby Anderson. However, he will be the focal point of most defenses next season unlike the past. Let's see how he reacts/responds to being double, tripled, or quadruple teamed. I feel certain any kid will have difficult adjusting. Jordan Perry has faced that since the 8th grade & still put up big numbers while shooting a respectable 48% FG. I wish him nothing but the best.

Rowan loves to play a lot of junk defenses especially a Box-N-1 or Triangle & 2. The purpose of these is to prevent looks by certain individuals and have help in all directions, double teams & triple teams if necessary. Box-N-1 assignment in the Regional tournament First Round in 2013. If you don't remember, just ask Coach Thacker.

Whatever. I'm tired of the backhanded comments that feign like compliments toward other players by some posters when all they're intended is promotion of Perry. I think he's a fine player. But the notion that he's been "quadruple teamed since the 8th grade" and "still put up big numbers" is maybe the single biggest bunch of garbage ever typed in a 16th region thread since I've been a member. And that pile of garbage is enormous.

 

Here's the thing, all the promotion of a kid in that manner does nothing but make folks want to root against that kid, sad as it is. I wish parents could just grasp it.

Anyone, and I mean anyone who knows anything whatsoever about basketball that doesn't recognize Jordan Perry as the best returning player in the region knows absolutely nothing about the game of basketball. It is not an opinion that Jordan has been double teamed since his 8th grade season that is a fact. You're delusional. No one hammers on Perry. I'd really like you to find that post where someone is talking bad about the kid. I don't dispute he's one of, if not the top player returning in the region, so what are you defending?. So you can dismount that horse. When? Rowan wasn't in the regional final...

And if you're talking about the semifinals, you're WAAAYYYY off base. EC did not "triple team" him; they didn't even double him. He plays off the ball so much, coming off a ton of screens, that it's virtually impossible to double him. If you did, Whelan would carve you up. Try again.
