And organically, it looks like it takes about 725 or so to get to 6A, how do ANY of those numbers accomplish a justification that?

Why did Highlands and CovCath move up? For better competition? I know CovCath's numbers have gone up, but when they made the realignment wouldn't CovCath had still been barely 4A if they didn't request to move up? Why would CovCath move up since they never get passed Highlands? Or did CovCath move up for better competition overall? Which then couldn't you say maybe Cooper and Conner then moved up as well for better competition overall at a State Level? Why is it people are blasting Cooper and Conner for moving up for overall better competition, but not Highlands and CovCath? Highlands lost their title game two years ago and had to have a huge comeback to win it last year. So it seems 4A had stopped being a cake walk for them, so why move up?

It's a valid question is it not? Why did CovCath and Highlands move up? I would assume most would say for better competition. Even though CovCath hasn't done anything in 4A, and other teams in 4A have shown that they are now catching up with Highlands, so why move up? Why can't it be the same for Cooper and Conner. Cooper for example has had a lot of success in 5A recently, and I believe I have heard that their football numbers last year and going into this year has been about 70 to 80 players just in grades 10-12 and not including Freshman. So that's over 100 players in their program now. Also I believe they are returning their whole team from last year. So why not move up to where there is better overall competition State Wide to continue to grow the program by playing better state Competition and still playing the likes of Highlands in non conference?

To get use to playing better competition to better the program, much like Highlands and CovCath chose to do. Obviously Highlands and CovCath's enrollment wouldn't have put them in 5A, so why did they move up? Because it is assumed apparently that if you move up, it is better competition and helps make your program better correct?

I like the changes for all parties involved. 5A district is going to be a tough district with Highlands, CovCath, and Dixie. Then in 6A you have two NKY districts, and depending on if they change which districts play each other, you will have a NKY team making at least the Semi-Finals most year in 6A. So I like the changes and is good for Northern Kentucky Football IMO.

While the above is probably accurate but you also have to take into account that in the next 2 years there is supposed to be a middle school on/near Cooper's campus. With the increased growth in housing off of Longbranch and in Union as a whole I will believe Cooper's numbers will warrant the move. Maybe it's early maybe it's not, it's done. However, one thing is clear, Cooper isn't dodging anyone and the program is on the right track under a good head coach.

If so, Cooper is closer to 4A than 6A and they requested to move up as did Conner. With the requests to move up it gave Dixie a chance to move down which they took and it also gave Boone a chance to move down which they refused which officially means Boone is playing up too.

Those numbers are a little misleading. Cooper has a freshman class coming in next year close to 400, the class after that will have about 360, so there population will be safely in that 6A range within two years, therefore the decision was pretty much forced on them to go petition for 6A from what I have heard recently
