That is 100% accurate in the case of Cooper. All indications are a new middle school will soon be on the horizon and will be placed near the current campus. Both the high school and the existing elementary school have already been expanded and the 7th year of existence isn't even complete yet. Cooper was already facing 3-4 6A opponents/yr anyway so this move is not as monumental as some might think.

Yes, teams will be bigger but this is no different than most of the 5A teams they were facing anyway. They will line up and compete like they always have.

This year the difference is going to be Olines. SK has one of the biggest lines I have seen. Watching them practice they looked like ST Xs Oline tall and in good shape. The young guys are really good.

 

SK returns their 5 best players Kincaid CB, DE Mueller, Powell RB, Racke QB and Sandlin OL. The SK JV team has not lost a game in 2 years. They several kids that will be Sophomores who are built like men. I hope everyone over looks SK.

Yep, the only real diffence in the schedule will be the playoffs. They already played most of the local 6a teams. Going south in 6a will be an eye opener though.

Ryle and SK are the clear favorites. Boone and Connor will not be competitive for a while. Cooper has been very competitive in 5A, but I take a wait and see approach in 6A. With only 3 teams in each district, each only has 2 district games a year??? Is that correct?

Couldn't agree more. Cooper in years past has always been outsized against their opponents who were always much bigger than Cooper yet Cooper always seemed to dominate the LOS in the majority of those games.
