Is it wrong to bring a varsity player down to the JV tournament if he hasn't played on Jv all year long?

Not sure, but it also happens with freshman playing JV then being brought down to the freshman team for the tournament.

I'm sure that someone will be able to officially confirm protocol on this one. However, I have heard that it's considered to be bad form and frowned upon. It seems that a lot of teams have kids that play JV but see varsity innings throughout the season and I can see those players playing JV. Bringing a lights out Varsity (no JV innings) pitcher/player down for one game would probably shake things up a bit.:sneaky:

Wow! NCC 10 Highlands 2. Does anyone have any details. Curious what Highlands record finished.

 

Baby Birds were 12/9 for the year. Give or take 1 or 2 games that were rescheduled or picked up. They had a very good regular season but just didn't finish strong.

 

Regarding the loss to NewCath, the defense did good but pitching was inconsistent and hitting disappeared. Plus NewCath came out hungry and they are starting to get hot!

On an earlier question: I believe it is wrong to bring down a player only at Tourney time. If a player has played some lower level games throughout the year then its okay to bring them down for the tourney. Seen it very recently where a boy pitched only varsity all year but pitched JV tourney.
