Phillips had a couple of hard hit balls tonight, one for a fly out to center and another that produced his first XBH in something like 85+ attempts. Nice to see the Reds put up some runs. Thank God for the Brewers.

Iglesias is on schedule to replace Homer. Hopefully they put Badenhop on the fantom DL and keep Contreras in the pen. As bad as Gregg has been, Badenhop has been worse. I'm not ready to give up on him but he's lost velocity and he's not ready to help the team at this moment.

The Woo's have been going on for a couple years now. Most of the time I find it obnoxious but every once in a while I get a kick out of it.

This is a team with such borderline talent, they needed everything to go right to potentially contend. If Bailey misses significant time and add in the #4 Opening Day hitter relegated to PH duties, injuries will dim what should have been modest hopes.

 

They are lucky to have the record they have (and could have been better) with Byrd and Bruce off to very slow starts. Corner OFs are there for offensive production and they haven't produced.

He hasn't thrown very many innings since going to AAA so I don't think it's that big of an issue. I guess well see.
