April 9, 201511 yr Seems like Taco Bell is always understaffed, wonder if it's a cost cutting measure? Maybe so. One of my biggest restaurant pet peeves is when stores are open 24-hours and have two people working third shift. If don't have the staff to be open, don't be open.
April 9, 201511 yr Dude. 35 minutes?! They were probably inside laughing at you; maybe taking bets on how long you would be willing to wait. Taco Bell is not worth 35 minutes of my time. Ever. The way that drive thru is set up, you can't get out once you're in. I wasn't the only one.
April 9, 201511 yr Oh man, now you all have made me want Taco Bell for dinner. The fact that there's one less than a mile from my house doesn't bode well for me. :lol2:
April 9, 201511 yr The first thing they need to worry about is making sure their 24-hour locations are properly staffed. I sat in the drive thru for 35 minutes Saturday night, and it wasn't the first time that had happened. Got to get you to the Highlands. With Qdoba and La Bamba open all night, you'll never have to suffer through late-night Taco Bell again. There's a late-night burrito delivery service in Germantown as well but I haven't had it yet. They work out of the kitchen at Eiderdown on Goss Avenue after it closes. Pretty cool idea.

Heck, that happens during the day as well! All these places are trying to do the same amount of work it took 10 people with now 5 or less. Quality is suffering. And "service", what the hell is that?
April 9, 201511 yr As Jimmy Johns is now. Man I'm sorry, but they'd have to pay ME to eat that stuff from there. I've tried it 3 times. We've had sandwiches delivered to work and it was not very good.

You'll probably get a return email from the manager with free food coupons or a manager's temporary code for your next visit. I've done this with McD's.
April 9, 201511 yr The way that drive thru is set up' date=' you can't get out once you're in. I wasn't the only one.[/quote'] Gotcha. I hate those type of drive thrus and normally try to avoid them for that very reason.
April 10, 201511 yr Man I'm sorry, but they'd have to pay ME to eat that stuff from there. I've tried it 3 times. We've had sandwiches delivered to work and it was not very good. And I've yet to have a bad one. They're not Publix subs, but, for me, they do in a pinch. The point is, JJ's is killing it on college campuses. They're looking forward to finals week already. The freaky fast model is what Taco Bell is seeing and wanting in on.
April 10, 201511 yr They're not Publix subs Ahhh, Publix subs... I make it a priority to eat at least one every time I'm in your neck of the woods.
April 10, 201511 yr Tried the Ghost Pepper Loaded Griller from TB last night... That's some hot stuff. :lol2: Good though.
April 10, 201511 yr Dude. 35 minutes?! They were probably inside laughing at you; maybe taking bets on how long you would be willing to wait. Taco Bell is not worth 35 minutes of my time. Ever. That's about 32 minutes too long for TB.

I sat in the drive thru for 35 minutes Saturday night, and it wasn't the first time that had happened. And that is one of the main reasons I said the Highland Heights location sucks. Theirs, you can't get out of either. I laid on my horn for about 10-15 minutes of my wait. Got to the window and the guy had the nerve to complain to me that some ______ has been honking his horn for 15 minutes and he couldn't hear people taking their orders. I let him know that it was me. Either that or they are out of chicken, or beef, or lettuce. I won't be back.
