If that was the fastest time at the combine, then I believe that that combine was pretty accurate. It is the combine with multiple kids at hovering around 4.45 that make you laugh.

Usain Bolt's estimated 40 yard dash time in his best run is about 4.1. Hand held stop watch timing can account for .2 difference in timing. Even an electronic timer, depending on how it is done can be off by .1 of a second. Then you get into running conditions as well. I think debating a specific time is a bit of a waste of time because of all that. Baker is very fast. Morton is very fast. No real need to dissect it any further. If someone tells me a player ran a 4.5, I just automatically think he could be a that fast or perhaps even a little faster, or he could be as "slow" as a 4.7. Then I watch him on the field to see who he outruns and who outruns him to see what really matters.

Baker has nice size, not like his dad coming out of HS, but he passes the look test IMO . Maybe it's durability? Can he take a hit? His running style? Does a lot of spin moves and those don't really work at the next level.

Right on the money, he ran a 4.49, laser, at the Army National Combine in San Antonio.

Kind of a confusing recruiting situation, obviously has speed, but UK is only big Power offer? Kind of find it hard to believe that any other Power schools will offer if they haven't yet(unless there is some KY connection). It's almost like a Joker Phillips era recruit

I think what hurt him in the offer category was his "early" commitment to UK while other programs were looking for 2016 recruits, caused them to just pass over him.

 

UK interest, and his interest of UK, dropped when his primary recruiter left UK.

I also believe he isn't getting the attention he deserves due to his early commitment to Kentucky. However he seems to be getting a lot of attention now due to the camps and he has added some muscle. If he ends up at any of the schools in his top 5, someone is getting a steal. I still wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at Tennessee. I'm not a Marshall fan, but it wouldn't bother me one bit if he ended up there either, as I would have plenty of opportunities to watch him play. Marshall has also produced some good backs lately.
