March 20, 201511 yr He was dismissed and went the JUCO route for punching a bouncer at a nightclub before they brought him back into the program. It hasn't been just on-court incidents. He didn't punch anyone that night. But keep going...
March 20, 201511 yr He didn't punch anyone that night. But keep going... So they kicked him off the team for just being there when other players were there too? Right...
March 20, 201511 yr Yep. Did you see my tweet 12 hours ago? The amount of HATE people have in general, specifically on message boards and social media, is really gross. The summary is everyone is perfect and life is all about extremes (the best, the worst, etc.). Oh wait....maybe not.... Best post ever?

People love to find the flaws in others and rail on them without looking in the mirror. I'd say the amount of hate people have for sports teams as a whole is absurd. Very true. It's sports but people can't seem to enjoy them without hating on others.
March 20, 201511 yr The amount of hate people have for UC is absurd. I'll fully admit I've been a hater, but when I was growing up in the 90s, Louisville and those Huggins teams from UC used to have some flat-out wrestling matches. Left a sour taste I carried for a long time. Mostly people are just ridiculous.

There is a difference between rooting against a team and hoping they lose, which it sounds like is how you were, and the flat out hate some people display.
March 20, 201511 yr So they kicked him off the team for just being there when other players were there too? Right... Yup. He was on a zero tolerance plan because he was involved in the X brawl. Was an easy fall guy to make the nightclub situation go away...
March 20, 201511 yr Yup. He was on a zero tolerance plan because he was involved in the X brawl. Was an easy fall guy to make the nightclub situation go away... I'll take your word for it, as you're definitely in the know, but I find it extremely hard to believe that they'd send him packing for basically hanging out with teammates.
March 20, 201511 yr Anybody want to talk about the actual game? OT was brutal to watch. UC up 1 w/ shot clock and game clock basically even at 32 sec. UC guard is 1 on 4 right by the UC bench. You can see Coach yelling to pull the ball out. Dude knifes into the lane and makes a layup. Great, you're now up 3, but there's still 30 seconds left. Obviously a high % shot, but I'd rather try to run some clock until they foul ya'.
March 20, 201511 yr Only caught the last few minutes and OT but that was some sad shooting by both clubs. Was it like that all game or was it just a bad stretch?

March 20, 201511 yr All. Game. Long. Thanks. There was a lot of energy in the time I saw so I didn't know if they were just tired, nervous or having an off night.
March 20, 201511 yr Thanks. There was a lot of energy in the time I saw so I didn't know if they were just tired, nervous or having an off night. I'd say UC was spent physically but then again they are typically bad offensively so I'm not sure energy levels had anything to do with it. With Ellis being ejected, UC was only 7 deep. Minutes played by their guys were: Thomas- 29 Clark- 36 Cobb- 36 Caupain- 38 Deberry- 26 Sanders- 20 Johnson- 22
March 20, 201511 yr Typical NCAA game. Typical Purdue game...and maybe UC too. The Boilermakers went from last place in the Big 10 last year to a 4th seed in the conference tourney this year--great improvement. But they usually win ugly. Only occasionally do they shoot well, in which case they look pretty good. Think if I had been there I would have died a thousand deaths--just watching a game like that (when you have a rooting interest) is a thousand times harder than doing play-by-play.
