Israel is the one stable element in the Middle East and also one of our most loyal allies. The UN is openly hostile to Israel and toothless as far as I'm concerned. If Israel finds out that Iran has developed the capability to launch an attack against then they are fully within their rights to attack to prevent it. How many times has Iranian leadership threatened to wipe Israel out?

 

IMO this administration has made a HUGE series of foreign policy mistakes (how's that whole reset fiasco with Russia working out?) and his further weakening of ties with Israel may be the biggest gaffe yet.

I am truly astounded by the way Obama looks at the Middle East. Let's try to cut a deal with our biggest enemy (Iran) and let's do everything in our power to ruin our relationship with our biggest ally in the Middle East. I mean, c'mon, what in the heck is Obama doing? OK, if you think Bibi was wrong to come to the US and talk to Congress (and in doing so hurting Obama's feelings) I get that...I really do. But why couldn't Obama be the bigger man and say "OK, he should not have come without my blessing but I will meet with him while he is here as Israel is our biggest ally in the Middle East". Would that have been so hard? Instead he acts like a little kid who just got his/her feelings hurt.

 

JMO but our allies just do not repect POTUS.

Israel has the most efficient military in the world. Why are we worried about them and Iran? They'd decimate Iran if they ever tried anything.

 

Just my guess but if Isreal and Iran were in conflict, I'd think Isreal wouldn't just be fighting with Iran. We learned that one in Vietnam.

Our constant meddling in the Middle East and the perpetual foreign policy mishap of intervention has furthered the destabilization. Whether people like to hear it or not, Obama's foreign policy is merely an extension of Bush's. I don't put the sole blame on Obama. Doing so is not an honest assessment of the current situation IMO.

Didn't the administration a while back threaten a military response if Israel attempted airstrikes against Iranian nuclear sites. Basically if they tried to fly over Iraq the US would intercept them before they could get to Iran.

I am conservative but saw problems that Bush had and voiced my concerns. It seems with our friends from the Left, Obama can ignore the Constitution, have his temper tantrums, make bad decisions and it's all fine with them. As you said, blind support.

If land is given to the Palestinians, then obviously they will demand more and more.

 

And we all know that as soon as they move in, so do the terrorist. They are that much closer to sending rockets into Israel adn hitting targets better.

 

Why doesnt Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, etc just give some land to them and shut them up.
