Oklahoma Football Players Upset With Frat

For me what is more disturbing is that the people singing and condoning this song will be doctors, lawyers, politicians, etc that will allow the systematic and institutionalized racism that people think doesn't exist to continue to exist. All of these people will be successful in whatever field they choose and you don't sing a song or condone a song of that manner and not truly harbor those feelings.

The saga continues........

First highlighted part...why do you think all of these people will be successful? I don't...some may be but many will not, especially after this came to light. Second highlighted part...totally agree...

Definitely an assumption on my part but in most cases a lot of kids in fraternities are able to move on to bigger and better things and part of that is because of their fraternity networking as well as fraternity background. I'm sure I could find out names of the people involved if I really wanted to but unless they are planning to be doing jobs that will have them in the public eye, I imagine their names will soon be forgotten and they'll move on in life. I'm guessing they will be successful and I'll be more surprised if they aren't successful.

Use of the N-word with no consequences is black privilege?

Some privilege. Gee thanks. :lol2:

This is a repost and something I saw that was posted in response to some of the controversy addressed here.

It's the "10 Cringe Posts":

10. "They have all black frats, so why not punish them"

9. "So it's okay to have Steven A. Smith call Chip Kelly a racist, but not okay for..."

8. "Well black people say it all the time, I don't see them protesting that"

7. "Black people are responsible for 198% of murders, 310% of crime, and 274% of welfare"

6. "Where was Al Sharpton when... (insert random event/black person saying n-word)"

5. "This is stupid. This story has NOTHING to do with sports. Players shouldn't protest" (article was the OU players' protest)

4. "Clearly the kids were just joking. If this wasn't taped no one would have been harmed"

3. "Black people are more racist than white people"

2. "If Kanye West sang this as a song, it'd be a hit"

1. "So Jameis Winston can say/do..."

Cringe worthy for sure, SMH. Problem is nowadays with the Race subject is, like the little boy who cried wolf, people don't really pay attention to things that are truly bad cause there is so much sensationalism and boloney involved in the race debate these days..sad but true.
