March 10, 201511 yr That's just it. The first stat says 1,500 under 18 die from shootings. It does not stipulate intentional or unintentional. Later down they add the "unintentional" qualifier. That's my point, that's how you blur "facts". So the way I read it and the way I bet the fact actually is...1,500 kids 18 under die from shootings is a total number, and not an "unintentional only" number. And you people wonder why people like me think you're unreasonable.

Yes and there are plenty on the books . If you are asking should there be more my answer is a clear no . What we do know is been ruled by the Supreme Court it is my right to have a loaded gun in my home. But some keep ignoring that . There is no dancing by me. I'm clear on my stance.

Supreme Court ruled it's my right to own a loaded gun in my home and a non elected agency is restricting my participation in a government program by exercising that right. A lot of bad analogies in this thread. People keep bringing up laws on the books , compared to regulations by non elected bodies restricting established rights by the constitution and the supreme court.

This is what scares me the most: the government doesn't have to take rights away from the citizens of the United States, most citizens will give those rights up freely and willingly.

I don't own a gun, have no desire to own a gun, and will never own a gun. While I support the 2nd amendment and everyone's right to bear arms, I would gladly give up my 2nd amendment rights for a whole hell of a lot of things. It's not important to me. My in-laws would be in Ram's camp. Guns are very important to them. To each their own.
