nWo Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 We are very likely looking at a historic winter weather event. Updated snow accumulation predictions. There is now a swath of Kentucky that could see 12-20" This is from around Elizabethtown northeastward to just north of Frankfort. Those in this area should watch for the possibility of roofs collapsing. This area is surrounded by an area that could see 8-12". This area is bordered on the north by Louisville and on the south by Campbellsville and Richmond. This area follows along the same direction as the one mentioned above. Other areas are looking at 5-9" Southeast Kentucky is looking at 2-5". These are estimates and could quite possibly change. If you don't have to travel today I suggest everyone stay home. Take care and I'll try and give updates throughout the day.

True blue (and gold) Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Mine has drifted so much that I'm not even sure where to measure.
The Professor Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 About 3 inches of snow in Owsley but it's pouring right now, so I assume those totals will go up. It helped our area that the conversion from rain to snow was much later than other parts of the state. It was still raining when I went to bed last night around 1 pm.
All In Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 12 inches here and still coming down steady. Easily, drifts 2 feet high

plantmanky Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Dont drive south. KY is a mess. 75 from 275 to the bridge is nothing but ice. South of there roads are still snow covered. At least traffic was light, never saw one plow on the interstate.
