Kentucky 84 Arkansas 67

Is that a combo of "great" & "dream"?

I guess either would work!

(P.S. just playin'!)

haha we can go with that explanation. I suck at posting from my phone.

Competition.

There is not another team that is close to them, so we will never know how great this team could be.

So because this team is so good, no other team can compete with them? That's why they are not a great team. Gotcha.

Andrew Harrison the past few weeks has been absolutely destroying people's ankles at the top of the key. Before her just go straight in, now he's making a move then driving. He's a totally different player now that he's trying to make a guy miss him instead of trying to blow right by.

It makes them a totally different team when he plays like that. Real fun to watch.

Talked to Ulis dad yesterday, very nice man. Does Ulis have a younger brother? There was one sitting with his dad, I would say 10-12 years old. Darki's mother sat down in front of us. Didn't realize she was so tall, she has to be 6'5+. His little brother was at the game too...well he isn't so little either, just younger. :lol2:

The overall product is so watered down its hard for me to call them a great team.

I am sure most Kentucky fans will say they are great, some will say the greatest of all time.

I can not say either but will say they are head and shoulders above any team playing college ball this season.

which teams in the past would you consider great?

Your asking an Ohio State football fan this question, you realise that, right?

If Kentucky plays like this, there is not a single team in the country that can stay within 10 points.

As far as UK is concerned, '12 and '96 IMO. This team is definitely very good and probably better than anyone else in all of college.

As we are bored between games, we like to compare this team to teams in the past and I agree that the top 5-6 players from '12 and '96 would probably beat this year's team. But I don't remember them being as deep.

That's a whole heck of a lot of talent.

Yeah for sure. I guess I should have focused my post more on the '12 team.

Actually Nazr never saw the floor. Allen Edwards contemplated transferring for lack of playing time. Cameron Mills was mop up only in '96. It really was a 8 man rotation with Allen Edwards as the 9th man. The others you mentioned did nothing in '96.

This team is the only deep team that could compete with the current roster.

2012 would be challenged if there was foul trouble. Their 7 and 8 player was Wiltjer and Vargas. Who would they guard?

I was going to say that the team from '96 was deep, but was outdone by the roster already listed. I agree that the current team is deeper than the one from 2012. I'm not sure if I'd say all of the main players are better either from 2012. The obvious difference from the last championship team was Davis. I'll be amazed if another player of his caliber comes out any time in the near future as a freshman. Players like Davis are definitely a rare breed.
