Yes, that's what I'm saying. But as I pointed out earlier, winning the game doesn't mean that they don't have weaknesses. And I only pointed out who was out for HHS because of the reason for the end of the game and the fact that it wasn't the half court. It was their strength that won the game.

 

As for who was out, it's very well documented on both sides. But after that, the Holmes fans want to bring up the foul trouble...which is true. But what they don't realize is, Graves and Combs also spent a lot of time on the bench in the first half as well with foul issues. They both got two fouls fairly early and in the Richy bench, you sit til half. Now they may have made a few appearances here and there, but for the most part were in the same situation as Holmes. Graves returned in the second half, but fouled out with 5 minutes left in the game. Combs played about a minute of the second half and never returned to the game due to a coach's decision. Also Adler was shaken up in the beginning of the 2nd qtr and sat til halftime. So yes, Tubbs didn't play and they were in foul trouble. But Leigh basically didn't play and Combs didn't play half the game and HHS was in foul trouble too.

 

Again, the only reason I pointed those out was to show you where they scored and why. It wasn't the half court that kept them in the game.

Your talking in circles yours saying this is there weakness but your team did now win dispite knowing this weakness if u know a teams weakness don't u exploit that and use it to your advantage? If holmes was down 14 because of there half court offence then why not continue to stay in zone? and if HHS Did stay in zone what was the reason for holmes comeback? Was it the press was it HHS had players in foul trouble what was it?

Not saying your wrong at all. You asked what I felt their weakness was. That's all this is. Not talking in circles. HHS did exploit the weakness and they lacked the tools at the end of the game to not fall victim to your strengths. That's exactly what I'm saying. HHS had 10 turnovers prior to the last 3 minutes of the game. They finished the game with 15. That's 5 turnovers in the last 3 minutes of the game. Or a third of their turnovers occurred in the last three minutes. All with 3 starters on the bench. Holmes finished the game with 18 turnovers and the majority of those happened in the half court offense. You turned this into the HHS-Holmes thing. I was trying to use examples to show you why I feel the half court is a weakness. And as I have discussed with many Holmes fans and others, there is an easy solution. But I'm not telling you! And I also said if they figured out how to be efficient in the half court, they may be unbeatable by any KY team other than Etown. You are taking it as a shot at them when it's not at all. You just don't agree with what I feel is their weakness and that's perfectly fine.

I said you have to have the tools to expose the weaknesses I described above...not the tools I described. If you have the tools, you can expose the weaknesses and give yourself a chance.

 

And no, I didn't describe the tools. But it's not hard to figure out the "tools" a team needs to keep it close. NCC, HHS, HC, Boone, Ryle CC all have similar tools. Ryle may be the closest thing to the exception, but still close. Here they are: Multiple ball handlers (or the ability to handle as a team), multiple shooters, girls that can get to the rim and good coaching. There are more and a lot more on defense, but I'm not giving away all the tricks! Now, here's where the tools come into place. If you possess these tools you have a chance. If you don't, you may get blown out of the gym. ND falls into the (ability to handle the pressure as a team). IF they can do this, it will be an interesting game because they have some of the other tools. If they can't, I expect the same result.

Lastly, I say a ton of very positive things about the Bulldogs. In fact, I even said I think they will win this game. I said if ND can expose (what I feel) is a weakness, it could make it interesting! Why are you determined to pound on the minor feedback I give and neglect all the positives I say. It's just what I feel is a "minor chink in the armor" of a very good team!

I think it was all due to terrible officiating...I bet neither team hand checks...

RCC9, I don't think you have to keep explaining yourself, you have made it clear that these are your thoughts and I have to agree with you. Holmes faithful in which I do admire shouldn't take offense to your thoughts. Its about matchups and every team has weaknesses some more than others.

The Grant County vs. Simon Kenton game could be intriguing. Grant has very good guard paly and am I right in saying one of SK's better players is on crutches? Didn't play against highlands? I consider this a NKY game too.
