Family Kidnaps Boy to Teach Him a Lesson About Stranger Danger

Good Lord. I'm pretty sure you can teach your child a lesson without traumatizing him for the rest of his life.

Family kidnaps boy to teach him about stranger danger: cops - NY Daily News

Three family members and a family friend in Troy, Mo., allegedly planned the kidnapping of a 6-year-old boy who was 'too nice' and needed to learn about stranger danger. The adults lured him into a truck, threatened him with a gun, kept him captive in a basement and told him he'd get sold into sex slavery before finally revealing the stunt and then lecturing him.

Let this be a lesson about the dangers of terrible child care.

Three relatives and a family friend of a 6-year-old Missouri boy allegedly staged his traumatic, all-too-real kidnapping and kept him captive for hours to teach him about stranger danger.

Police said the adults didn’t see anything wrong with the deranged plan and one said it was necessary because the boy was “too nice,” the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

The family members asked Nathan Firoved, who works with 25-year-old mother Elizabeth Hupp at a gas station, to help them with the plot.

Firoved, 23, waited for the boy to get off his school bus in Troy, then lured him into a pickup truck and told him he’d never “see his mommy again” and was going to get “nailed to the wall of a shed,” KSDK reported.

Firoved brandished a handgun when the boy started crying and said he’d get hurt if he didn’t stop, police said. When the boy kept crying, Firoved allegedly bound his hands and feet and put a jacket over his head to blindfold him.

He led the blindfolded boy into his own basement, and then the boy’s 38-year-old aunt, Denise Kroutil, took off his pants, told him he was going to be sold into sex slavery and yelled at him for not resisting her.

After several hours, he was brought upstairs, where the family members finally revealed the sick stunt and started lecturing him about strangers.

The four adults kept in contact through their phones the entire time.

Police learned about the kidnapping on Wednesday, after the boy told officials at his school. The boy couldn’t remember the day it happened.

All four adults were charged Thursday with felony kidnapping and child abuse. Firoved, Kroutil, and grandmother Rose Brewer, 58, were also charged with felonious restraint.

The child is now in protective custody.

Every day I read the news I realize how many really sick people there are in the world...

They should put the child in protective custody to teach the parents a lesson about stupid parenting.

Oh wait.

My God, I understand their wanting to teach him about danger but not a one of them stopped to think this one out????

That is the problem, "Stupid" runs in packs together. If one of them had enough sense to realize this was wrong they wouldn't have been associated with the others to begin with. Stupid people seem to come together, stay together, reproduce and repeat.

You ever read something on here, and just can't think of the appropriate words to describe such friggin' moronic behavior? Well, this is one of those for me.

I am curious about the charges: How does one kidnap their own child?

Otherwise it was extreme and abusive.

The parents weren't involved, were they?

I think it was their plan, I don't how involved they were "Operationally".

Why do we need a license to drive, but not one to reproduce?

I say we kidnap these "brain surgeons" and put them through the hell they put this child through. UNBELIEVABLE Andy Mac!!!

That's what I get. It seemed to be well-intentioned, just monumentally stupid and overly cruel.
