I just noticed that SW pummeled them a few days ago. I guess Boyle just had a bit of letdown tonight. Trap game.

Boyle was up 14 in the 3rd and then couldn't buy a bucket the rest of the game. It was 43-29 Boyle and then West Jessamine turned up their defense and their hustle and outplayed Boyle the rest of the game. David McCorvey did a good job making Jeremiah Bell work to get to the rim and West Jessamine did a great job getting Colton Elkins in foul trouble as well. Bradley Tullar missed a layup at the end of regulation that would have won the game for West Jessamine. In OT timely shots and defense sealed the deal for Boyle.

 

Great gut check game for Boyle and a good game for West to build upon.

Crazy region. Sounds like it was a great game to watch.

Haha I couldn't make it tonight. Sounds like I missed a really good one though.

There are times when you don't play your best and still win. WJ is a good team that is well coached and appeared to be more motivated than Boyle. WJ did have a shot to win in regulation but it was in the last second and hit the underside of the rim. Boyle did not take care of the ball all night, making some poor passes and bad decisions on others. After the near perfect game they had against Lincoln it might have been expected for them to not to have their A game . WJ can be a spoiler in this region and it would not be a huge upset for them to knock off any one of the so called big four in the tournament.

West is more than capable of beating any team in this region. I just don't see them stringing 3 games in a row to win the tournament.

West shot horribly last night compared to Boyle, had nine more chances and made two less. Give some of that credit to Boyle's defense, but West probably should've won that game.

 

West stands a good chance to beat anyone in the 12th when they shoot well. When they don't hit shots, the wheels fall off. Did at Lincoln, did vs. Mercer, did vs. Southwestern. Three big games in the 12th (two at home) and they lost by a combined 46 points.

 

Really can't wait for the region tournament. If EVERYONE brings their A-game, Boyle is best, in my opinion. Going to be a fun one to watch.
