Yes. And they could have improved since. That's fair. I just know who I spoke to that saw them in person at the time, and the consensus between more than a couple of people whose opinion on the game I really respect seemed to be at a consensus in saying that they weren't overly impressed with them.

 

Best way to put it: this result is more likely to lead me to believe that PRP was never a top 10 team than it is going to justify Covington Catholic being a top 10 team.

 

Saw PRP in person twice last year. They lost a LOT. Take the name off the jersey, and they probably don't get top 10 consideration just based on what they had coming back. Maybe some more kids came out, etc., but I don't see them just bringing back what they had and being a top 10 team. JMO.

Keep disrespecting as they continue to roll good team after good team. I don't put to much stock in rankings at any level. Just someone's opinion and really don't mean anything. Keep playing hard and listening to the best coach in the state.

FWIW....several coaches who have seen them play have told me PRP being top 10 is a big stretch. Nice athletes but not very skilled.

Who is disrespecting Covcath? Most everyone on here is in agreement they are legit top 10 and some (myself included) have said they're playing like a top 5 team right now.

Overly impressed is also a relative term speaking of their top 10-15 status in State Rankings, just so we're straight.

For what it's worth, PRP was playing without its point guard/senior ball handler due to two technical fouls in the last game.

Looking back in the stats he had 26 against St. Henry, and 28 against St. Xavier (KY).

 

Not sure what his highest output was as an 8th grader for Villa.
