Ill explain what happen with the ejection.

 

One of leading members of our football team took our rebel flag during a.timeout and ran down our sideline and then the mercer sideline. Mercer had been running their flag around before that but our guy got ejected for it.

While I was amused by it I didn't have a problem with ejecting the kid. It's one thing to taunt from afar but running over directly in front of the other team's student section and taunting them is asking for things to escalate. With that said, that doesn't justify those who threw bottles and stuff at the kid.

I'll be interested to see it. Live I didn't think it should have been intentional foul, it was most certainly a hard foul though. Just a kid making sure someone didn't an easy two points.

 

This is how I saw it also. Just unfortunate Colton had to leave the game.

Then said administrator went back to the combined student section and gave them the ole' get up and cheer motion. I have it on film.

I think it's funny as well but draw the line when you run in front of the opposing student section and waive it. Too much young testosterone in one place so taunting the other student section has too much potential for disaster.

This wouldnt be good for Malik as he had a couple of concussions his freshman year. One in football then another in basketball. He seemed to have some problems with his balance after that. Really hope hes ok :-(

I felt like no one would be able to stop Jeremiah and Hagen and no one did. Good games by both.

 

Josey was outstanding tonight much like he was on Friday. Him being able to provide that off the bench is super important to the team's success.

 

Will Hager is tough. He's damn near automatic in the paint. He's super crafty on the court and has mastered the art of drawing a foul. I'd love to see him take more jumpers that are available but if you can get in the paint and score why change? He's a stud. Pure and simple.

 

I thought Trevon looked like a freshman the first 3 quarters and in the 4th quarter he hit a few shots and made all of his free throws. Very impressive play in the clutch by Trevon.

 

Jackson Baughman was wet tonight. WET.

 

It doesn't get stated enough but the stability, composure and poise that Chapman Bean and Keagan Hinkle bring to Boyle County is extremely important. Both made heady plays down the stretch and throughout the game that were important to the victory.

 

I thought Boyle began to settle for jumpers instead of attacking at one point. Mercer had 9 team fouls in the third quarter and for a second Boyle began taking jumpers instead of attacking the rim and going to the free throw line.

 

Everytime Mercer took a lead it was short lived. Boyle had an answer for every Mercer County run and used composure and poise to seal the win.
