April 15, 201511 yr Yeah I kind of feel bad for Drew Barker for getting Sucker Punched like that. No one deserves that unless you are face to face with someone and it's justifiable. Now with everyone getting so defensive with one another about having one of your buddies back. Maybe it's time to surround yourself with a buddy that's not always looking to start trouble. When is it enough? Listen, I use to run with a guy that was known in his day to clear a room if need be. Wasn't very big but had a nasty left handed punch. After a while we couldn't even go out anywhere because it was becoming evident that people were looking for payback. The guy happen to be my best man in my wedding but there was a time that we would had a heart to heart talks about just going out and having a good time and not worry about being chased home after a bar fight. It was time to grow up! I believe I know that lefty...... I went to HS with a guy who also used to have a knockout punch. We called him "One Punch". He hardly looked for trouble but when he was messed with he took care of the aggressors.
April 15, 201511 yr If your QB gets sucker punched and teammates don't come to his rescue, he should transfer. Or the ones who didn't come to his rescue should transfer.
April 15, 201511 yr How is Drew supposed to know who lives where? Did he get their addresses during the fight? So your saying, after getting into an altercation with EKU peeps in a bar, going to an EKU dorm was a wise more? Or are you saying that he had no idea who he got in an altercation with at the bar?
April 15, 201511 yr So your saying, after getting into an altercation with EKU peeps in a bar, going to an EKU dorm was a wise more? Or are you saying that he had no idea who he got in an altercation with at the bar? The particular dorm he went to is immaterial. The only debate is "stay on campus" or "get back to Lexington." Obviously, get back to Lex would have been the wisest choice in a perfect world. Those guys that were lying in wait would have done so at any dorm he went to.
April 15, 201511 yr So your saying, after getting into an altercation with EKU peeps in a bar, going to an EKU dorm was a wise more? Or are you saying that he had no idea who he got in an altercation with at the bar? See you are making the point for everyone. I think him going back to the bar shows that he probably wasn't really involved in the bar fight. If he was one of the main ones involved then yeah I think most people would know not to go back to where a lot of EKU players would be. However there are two different videos of the bar fight and the one bar fight when the guy in the white hat turns his head you can that is not even him. So yeah since it doesn't even look like he was really involved in the bar fight, there is no reason to think he would be the one who gets the raft of what happened since he didn't really have much to do with the bar fight.

I agree going on enemy turf, if you will, was not wise for anyone from UK at that point in the night.
April 15, 201511 yr Was those UK players with Drew in the dorm? I know based off of the bar video, and then the dorm video. I didn't recognize any of the guys in the bar video in the dorm video.
April 15, 201511 yr So your saying, after getting into an altercation with EKU peeps in a bar, going to an EKU dorm was a wise more? Or are you saying that he had no idea who he got in an altercation with at the bar? He got sucker punched. Knocked out cold, sucker punched. I'm not going to question all of his actions of the night for the sake of insulting him for getting sucker punched unlike yourself. I'm assuming you've never been in those kind of situations because you are such a stellar individual who never does any wrong. In all reality 9 times out of 10 people involved in everything he was around that night aren't thinking about anything with a clear head. I'm grateful I have always befriended like minded individuals who better have my back in situations like this and I'm grateful I never have had enemies on message boards that throw darts at my every move to make themselves feel better.

Where have I insulted him for getting sucker punched? All I have said is going to the EKU dorms, after an altercation in a bar with EKU players(s) wasnt a good decision.
April 15, 201511 yr Awesome teammates. Let me tell you..... It's sad you make all of these posts about your kid this, your kid that, how Drew was in the wrong, how you'd teach your kid better but you take delight in watching Drew get sucker punched. I know I'm foolish for even responding to you but it just bothers me sometimes to see people blame one side for one thing but totally gloss over the other side when video shows who was really in the wrong. What are you talking about?
April 15, 201511 yr The EKU player is VERY lucky that he didn't seriously injure or even kill Barker. He would be in prison. Kids (I was guilty of this when I was younger) just don't see the ramifications of things sometimes.

April 15, 201511 yr I talked to a former UK player today and he feels the two players with Barker should be released from their scholarships and forced to transfer.
