Holy Cross 40 Highlands 39 (2OT)

HC pressured the whole second have and overtime hence the fourth quarter 5 second call that resulted in a turnover against highlands was that one of the bigs handling the ball again? And why try something you think will work before you stick to what you know and your girls have installed as there tempo there type of basketball game that they can control! They felt the sense of urgency coming out for the second half and new the weakness of the birds ball handlers and exposed it! With the exception of Holmes not many teams are going to put full court in your face pressure for four quarters!

Funny...so you say they did it in the entire 3rd and into both overtimes...because of the weakness of the ball handlers. So they came back pretty early in the 3rd and you say they pressured the rest of the game huh? Which was about another 2 1/2 quarters. And they never pulled away??? That's really strange to me...with all the poor ball handlers we have. Something doesn't add up.

No, you're right. It was our 8th grade guard. And it wasn't her fault. The other girls stood still. That was HHS fault and one glance at the coaching staff would have told you that. HC was not even denying the ball on that call. It was HHS standing around.

Two very even teams...one just a good as the other. Great chatting with ya!

With HC and Holmes in the same District it is very likely HHS will face one of them first round of Regions. HC and Holmes couldn't meet again in Region until finals. Very tough on that 3rd non District team when two good teams come out of the same District.

I will just say Congratulations to the lady Indians on a good week. They played and beat NCC, St.Henry, Holmes and Highlands. These are the considered the top teams I. The area. I say it's the good ball this year.

Final from Covington.

THE GIANT KILLERS!!

Pretty clear the top three teams are very close but for now Holy Cross is the undisputed numero uno. Congrats on a good win and a great week.

People really should get out and see these teams play!

Never saw the final turnover stats, does anybody have those as well as shooting percentage! Going into a girls basketball game my goal is to keep the turnovers to 10 or less and to have a shooting percentage of 40 percent from the field, hold the opponent in the 40 - 46 point range and you will win a lot of games!

33% chance the Birds get the 35th loser in round 1...which means it will happen.

And like I said before...only one team in the entire region will have a route that does not include a two game requirement thru at least two top teams and that will be the team out of the 35th that draws opposite of the birds. And that doesn't mean that it's the winner of the 35th that does. Winning the 35th doesn't mean they get an easy route. It will come down to the draw.

Who is in Highlands district?
