Is there anything official yet on this position? Who would be some candidates for the job? Would they look for a "Bellevue" guy? Personally, I only know 4 alums currently coaching....Wayne Hall, Chad Montgomery, Nick Wilson, and Keith Walton...would any of these guys be a good fit? I apologize if I missed any BHS alums that are coaching

Possibly Chad Montgomery as I think he applied previously and was overlooked. I cant confirm that though. Chad has the Tiger Blood and head coaching experience.

 

Wayne would be an excellent coach anywhere but I dont think he would want to be a Head Coach. Maybe I am wrong though.

Different county and Covington divides Ludlow from the other cities.

Totally agree...they would be very competitive.

I never felt like it was a good fit to begin with. The administration needs to stop shooting from the hip and hire a legitimate coach who will stay with the program. There is a lot of tradition at Bellevue.

 

Curious on why you felt like it was not a good fit? Seemed like his teams did very well, and the offense they had was some of the best offenses that Bellevue has ever had I believe.

The guy doesn't stick at schools for very long even though he has been somewhat successful at all his stops, i'd say that indicates internal problems.

He seemed like an allright guy, I met him at the golf outing. Totally different offense than the typical double TE power I that Bellevue has always prided itself on.

Would like to see my alma mater (SG) added to that hypothetical school. Another river town with very similar dynamics socio-economically.

I honestly thought it was a good thing that someone else brought something new in on the offensive side of the ball and had success with it. Its hard to move on from tradition, however I feel like in todays age, that was a step they needed to take to move in the right direction.

Why hire someone who cant win games? Go for the best coach, regardless of where they are from.

Johnny Poynter is certainly a legitimate coach. Surely you didn't mean to imply that he isn't.
