January 15, 201511 yr Sometimes you need to strike while the iron is hot. Who knows how this plays out for him from here. I would have probably taken the money and sat behind a QB to learn the ropes for a year or two in the NFL.

January 15, 201511 yr Good for him. Personally, I hope Miller goes to Oregon and Barrett and Jones can split time. It's really the best situation for all. Neither Miller or Barrett deserve to lose their job (they are among the top handful of QBs in the country anyway), but being able to keep the two younger, better passing QBs would help OSU more in the long run. Plus, I think Miller would have a tough time in Columbus next year. Any mistake he made would be magnified. He seems like a good guy, and would be appreciated more elsewhere. He could literally go just about anywhere. UK would love him. LSU would love him. UGA, Oregon, Ole Miss, FSU, etc. All three QBs are probably among the top 5 returners in the country at the position.

His play has been outstanding, but he would probably be a failure in the NFL if he left now. I think he has the size and talent to be an excellent NFL qb, but he needs more experience before making that jump.
