went saturday to a buddys' farm pond, he caught a 1# bass on a 6" firetail worm. that fish was so cold it had little color. I had several hits but failed to set the hook. This year i am making myself learn open faced as I have always been a baitcasting reel fan and a fly fisherman. I had trouble adjusting to the whippy rod as opposed to the broom sticks i am used to, lol. (It will be fun though and am looking forward to the ultralight side of open face reels)

IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL DAY!

NOTHING, but hey it was good to be on the water again. You know what they say, a bad day fishing beats a good day working.

Not a good day for fishing, but a beautiful day on the upper end of Cumberland River.

1 Keeper Walleye

6 Keeper Crappie

6 White Bass ( I like to practice catch and release with these as they seem to be making a comeback in the upper arm of Cumberland River.) Maybe the walleye need a few more days of warm weather. I'll be after them again tuesday morning though...

went today out back.

caught around 20 bass from one to two and a half pound.

three slab crappies.

and about five bluegills.

all on a white rooster tail.

I also hooked something that I swear was as big as a small car! Then I saw that I had caught my boat.:D

total of 15 walleye. Me and my dad caught 10 of them in about 7 hours during darkness. 3 came prior to dark and 2 more followed after day broke. I don't know why, but the fish are biting MUCH better after dark right now. We also caught a couple of rain showers too!
