Is it simply a numbers thing that makes Europe more susceptible to home-grown Islamism? Are there just more Muslims in Europe than in America making the chance of finding someone to radicalize easier? Is France's official secularism a problem in that it forces religious communities into isolation if they want public expressions of faith? Does Europe's affection for a shared cultural/ethnic heritage among the "native" groups isolate immigrants making them easier to radicalize? Whatever the root cause, an act like this is absolutely horrifying.
