I did take a friend to my fishin hole, I took him the long way to get there, about 12-15 miles. I told him he could fish any time he wanted, he just had to ask the owner when he did. He said he'd never be able to find the place with all the turns we took. When we came back, I brought him the short way, a half mile from my house, one turn. He got a kick out of it.

I have a couple of select NKY fishing honey holes (one catfishing spot in particular) that I won't pass on quite so readily, but those aside, I'll pretty much tell anyone about anything so long as it isn't private property.

I have driven home empty handed after some of my favorite hunts. For instance, I witnessed the good doc fall down and slide about three times trying to get down a hill to a field in Lewis Co just after a rainstorm. The guy beside him fell more. The noise caused by all this ruckus scared off every living creature in the area. Empty handed.

I generally fish private property. If it isn't I'll glady give up the goods.

Or the day in Florida you belly crawled to a turkey and came back to the truck looking more like an underground coal miner. Or when we had those toms about 75 yards in front of you and my youngest while I was behind you calling. Great show, no game, but awesome reward nonetheless. He said "that was awesome".

My favorite hunt would have been with my youngest who was about 4. The only thing between us and him was a large thick row of multiflora rose. We were probably only 25 feet from that bird but in a spot that was hopeless. The bird kept hammering away at every noise and every 15 seconds my little one would whisper "make him do it again daddy" Needless to say I scratched every leaf pile close by til the bird got hoarse.
