they're not just giving up 2 or 3 inches. They are giving up raw strength, lateral movement, leaping ability and basketball skills to this kid. you shadow him and hope your 3 to 4 guard offense fills it up with threes

Probably no one, because Oden is that good and nobody will be able to contain him! No matter who is guarding him he is going to most likely score and get rebounds all game long. The KY all-stars just have to hope that they can find away to contain the other players on the Indiana team!

I'm glad Kevin Allen is finally getting a shot. How in the world Shawn Thompson from Lawrence Co isn't given a shot is beyond me! They missed out on one with him!

No one is close to Oden, but my guess is Wilkerson and Cavette will be the most effective post players for Kentucky, and Cavette is probally on the bubble to make it

Wilkerson is great some nights not so great others. Hopefully we get him on a good day.

Yes, this Indiana All-Star Team beat the group from last year. They easily beat them! I like Dan Penick, and I hope that he makes the team. But I have watch Oden play up close several times, and he is amazing even with his hurt wrist. He is not the only player on this team, they are truly loaded with big time D-I players.

Having seen my fair amount of Ky. H.S. Basketball over the last several years, I really find it amazing that one of the truest point guards in the state was not even invited to try out. I realize that when choosing from the many HS seniors throughout the state it's very tough to include everyone,

but Tyler Mains epitomizes that true point guard position. Yes, there are several good players listed, but many might play the point on their respective team when in reality they are legitimately a 2 guard. Tyler has been groomed all of his life to be the point guard and he has done an admirable job.

Tryouts are the weekend of April 22nd and 23rd I believe. As for Oden I believe you sort of do like Adolph Rupp said about Maravich and let him score is 45-50 points and hope you hold the others guys under their average.
