Boyle County 72 Clay County 64

Featured Replies

Sounded like some questionable officiating from the update thread. Close game without Farmer for Clay. Who were the three 12th region refs?

Lonnie McGuire, Rankins and Turner maybe.

Lonnie is usually good but two of the three live in Boyle County if I am not mistaken. :lol2:

I don't know what Farmer could have done any differently than Smith, Wolfe and House did tonight. They had 20, 17 and 19 apiece. What if Farmer had played and missed some of the shots that they made tonight? You just never know.

I heard someone from Clay County ask Trey Farmer if his daddy knew he had on a Louisville sweatshirt. :lol2: :lol2:

Clay County has a very nice team. They hit jumper after jumper and Blake Smith is athletic as all get out. I see why Clay County is the best team in the 13th. Very nice squad. It was a fun game to watch tonight.

I honestly didn't think the refereeing was that bad. Of course my team won so it is what it is. I've definitely seen much worse refereeing and overall I thought they did a pretty decent job.

Lonnie and Turner I think live in Danville but they are both Danville guys. They ain't doing any favors for anybody at Boyle County. :lol2:

I actually think the one that Clay County was put off by the most was Rankins.

Agree to disagree. Fouls where more than 2 to 1. Justify that. I felt like we was at Wayne county

Which ones weren't fouls?

The blocking foul calls were legit. Not one time was the defender there before the offensive player made his move to the basket. You want the charge get in front of the player and be still before the player jumps. Trying to slide in front while the player is in the air is a block.

I thought the one travel called on Clay on the fast break was a bad call.

Clay was awarded basket interference on a shot that was missed when the defensive player grabbed the net. Is that truly basket interference?

On the putback dunk that the Clay County side erupted on....are you totally sure that ball was still on the rim? The only people who know for sure are the ones on the court. I was at the scorer's table and I couldn't tell. How can anyone sitting behind me tell any clearer? I had my glasses on tonight too.

At the end of the day there are plenty of calls that could have gone either way. Didn't affect the outcome of the game.

Hagen Tyler ended up with 28 points tonight and had what I believe is his first in game dunk. I'm glad I was there to see it.

Colton Elkins had some fantastic dunks tonight. A monster putback jam, a monster jam off of a spin move and another nice controversial putback dunk off a layup that rolled off the rim. Elkins had a great game tonight and was exciting to watch. I believe he finished with 11 points, 11 rebounds and 7 blocks.

Jeremiah Bell finished with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and only 2 turnovers.

No one can say for sure if Clay would've won with Farmer. He is their co-best player. Their second leading scorer and leading rebounder. And a three point sniper. For Clay to come to Boyle and be that competitive, without him, tells you just how good they are.

Second time in less than a week they've suffered a loss at the hands of a 12th region team. It also makes me wonder what that says about West Jessamine.

If at anytime the ball is on the rim and you touch the rim or net it is suppose to be called. My dad was sitting up in the up section on Boyle's side and he said the one that Clay people erupted on was a close one. He thought that he could have been called either way.

Great work Rebelstat and thanks for sharing.

That's what I'm here for JokersWild24. :ylsuper:

It says West Jessamine is better than Clay County?

I will like that comment when I get back to the puter

Hagen had a filthy 1 handed oop from Timmy Taylor in Atlanta back in May. It was right after our director had told a college coach that Hagen couldn't dunk lol.

They were 2 horrible no calls against Smith. He was fouled and bleeding on one the other you could clearly hear the smack. Two horrible walk calls and the put back dunk was a goal tend. I seen the skinny black ref tell the other two it was goal tending. I agree on the block calls they were blocks. But the white ref hosed us all night. I'm not one to blame the refs if Clay plays bad I will say so. Clay had there chances down the stretch but had some costly turn overs but it's hard to over come the foal shots being almost four to one.
