What a nice NKY WISH LIST. These kid might had a good season or career. Some of the players you named barely made the NKY all team. You expect them to be mention on the All state teams? In reality Lafayette has 4 this year. In 2016 will have more ALL-STATER than SK/DH again.

Here's my thoughts on all the BGP lists. IMO............................

Good summation and one I would like to add to:

 

The All-BGP Team is a year long process that started last January. Players who are expected to have a great season are tracked and watched, yes watched, game films and highlight videos are watched. These players are the starting point, then ANYONE can nominate players, any fan, any coach, any media personality, anyone. Those players are looked at and considered. Everyone that is nominated is looked at and categorized. Then the BGP selection team starts making cuts. This process goes on for a while. Finally, the finished product is put together. To make the All-BGP is truly an honor because there are only 36 players: 12 offense, 12 defense and 12 Athletes that excel at multiple positions. There is no second team, third team or honorable mention. Every player that makes the teams has been vetted against the best players in the state.

 

Are there great players who don't make the BGP? Yes, there are, but when you only take one Quarterback, there are going to be some other great Quarterbacks who don't make it. The same is true with two Running Backs and five offensive Linemen. But, the All-BGP Team is a great group of players and players that have been seen many times before they make the cut. Not just a vote in the dark for/against someone that the voter has not seen.

That is why the All-BGP Team was always my favorite. The amount of time they take to consider all nominations on top of the players they already had on their radar really tells a lot about the process when you see the team revealed each year. Truly the best of the best with very few head scratchers.

 

BGP does a great job with that team every year.

How ever they do it is a joke! It is time NKY has an all star game against the rest if Kentucky. Just like the one with Louisville against Kentucky. Better yet make a NKY all star team play a Cincinnati all star team.

Ummmm...that could get very ugly. I wouldn't want to watch the beat down Cincy would put on the NKY team.
