January 3, 201511 yr This really isn't that big of a deal to me, but it is to some people I have seen. It all started on this play: Then at the handshake: @smartfootball: Jim Mora, that's weak to do that to Bill Snyder, especially after your team won! Geez http://t.co/RHvH2Ks6yE After the game, Mora tweeted this out: @UCLACoachMora: I will defend the safety of my players...forever. Then KSU player tweeted: @KodyCook7: Glad we are coached the way we are by coach Snyder. Commentary (by Seth Davis, Michael DeCourcyand Dan Wolken): @SethDavisHoops: Did Jim Mora really give Bill Snyder--of all people--a blow by? Because Snyder is a threat to his players' safety? @SethDavisHoops: I'm willing to keep an open mind for new info but it looks to me like Mora was out of line. Snyder deserves more respect. So does the game. @SethDavisHoops: Never ceases to amaze me when college coaches fail to live up to their responsibility as educators. Something Bill Snyder never forgets. @DanWolken: Just saw the play that got Mora upset. Not the worst thing ever, but bush league stuff by K-State. Don't do that. @DanWolken: Wow. People in my mentions think it's ok to do what K-State did. It's not. The end. @tsnmike: Oh, good. Another handshake controversy. More debate about proper execution of a phony display of "sportsmanship" designed entirely for TV. Do you think it was classless or was Mora protecting his players?
January 3, 201511 yr Poor effort by Jim Mora who I like. Agreed, especially against Snyder, who is maybe the nicest guy in the college football coaching profession.
January 4, 201511 yr Handshakes are pointless outside of the HS level. Handshakes don't even exist in baseball and nobody argues that. So what's the big deal of football players don't do it? I guess baseball players have no class. :ohbrother:
January 4, 201511 yr If you want a friendly handshake after the game don't have your players trying to spear the opposing QB on a victory kneel down.
January 4, 201511 yr Co-dos to the fullback that saw it coming and protected his QB. I agree post game handshakes are stupid anymore, and not needed. Kinda like taking a knee when someones injured, just dont get it.
