November 17, 201510 yr I just finished Last Of The Mohicans. I'm currently read Tarzan and Red Dawson new book, a memoir about the Times leading up to and just after the 1970 Marshall plane crash.
November 19, 201510 yr (Don't mean to hijack the thread) I finally have a place for most of the books I've collected over the years. Been telling the wife that I was going to make a bookcase, after all the ones we looked at were either a.) too expensive (in price), b.) too cheap (in quality), or c.) just too small. So, I mapped out my plans one night at the kitchen table, and over a period of two to three weekends, my son and I finally knocked it out. Only problem is...I apparently miscalculated just how many books I had...so it's already pretty much filled up! (But, considering I hadn't really built anything in quite awhile, I'm just glad it's still standing.)
November 20, 201510 yr Are those books organized/ordered alphabetically? Thanks for the compliment. They're not totally organized just yet (I'm sure my OCD will kick in sometime), at least not completely. I do have them somewhat alphabetically by author, with two exceptions. If you look at the third shelf (from the top), that is nothing but David Baldacci. Shelves 4 and 5 are nothing but Robert B. Parker. I'm torn as to how to organize those. I could do them just alphabetically by title, or I could alphabetize them within a series (say Spenser, Jesse Stone, Sunny Randell, etc.) or (and this is probably the route I'll go) is to put them in chronological order by series. I'm not overwhelmed by the way everything looks right now. May take an hour or two and see what everything looks like with the dust jackets off. Up in the air right now. Thoughts?

I couldn't make them all out, but I thought I could see Dan Brown on the top shelf and Lee Child underneath. I organize mine by genre, but an author's books are all together, arranged by publication date (newest to oldest left-to-right). Your bookcase is really sharp.

November 23, 201510 yr Finished the Engineer trilogy by K.J. Parker. Read this on Sunday: You know the cover gives away the stranger, right?
November 27, 201510 yr Author Reading this one now. Much better. I just bought the next one in this series, The Skin Collector a couple of hours ago. I think it's sort of a sequel to The Bone Collector. Will start reading that one after I finish this:
