October 18, 201510 yr How is that? He's been on my list since Getslow mentioned him a while back. A strange book. Much easier to read that most of Eco's stuff. "Historical fiction" set in the 1100's. Problem is, the protagonist is a habitual liar anyway, so it's hard to track what is supposed to be fact.:lol2:

I haven't but I might have to pull one down from there. I've been too busy lately to do much reading, but hopefully get into something new next week. Hemlock Grove looks interesting too since I haven't seen the show. I'm scared off of RL Stine since your review of his other one. :lol2:

I'm scared off of RL Stine since your review of his other one. :lol2: I've read 2 or 3 lately & am almost done with the one I posted in #485. It's been so-so. James Patterson isn't a horror guy, but his latest book (The Murder House) read a little bit like a slasher. I really enjoyed it. I laughed at your R.L. Stine comment. :lol2: That book I read was dreadful, but it was rated pretty low on Goodreads too, so I should have checked it out there before I bought it. The book in the Huffington Post link has a much better rating, so I might give it a shot. The Broken Monsters book is also highly rated & has high praise from Stephen King.
October 22, 201510 yr I finished the latest Jack Reacher story "Make Me" and found it to be the least enjoyable of the series.
October 22, 201510 yr Currently reading Clash of Kings again. Pretty remarkable the sublet things you pick up on when re-reading these. Hoping by the time I finish up with all 5 of them, Winds of Winter will be ready to be released.
