Halfway through and 4 stars out of 5 so far. Kinda technical with Wall Street "insider stuff" that I have a hard time following, but great characters and dialogue - some of it quite witty. That last part is what "The Highway" is missing. 100 percent serious. Good read, but no letup.

An author has to be really, really good to keep me interested in a book that is 100% serious. I don't want a comedy, but I do want some humor sprinkled in here & there.

Starting with the two who were my first exposure to the genius who was Leon Uris: Trinity and [uRedemption[/u]. Up next will be Exodus anf The Haj. Since this post, I have completed Trinity, Redemption , Exodus and a novel about WWII English women called War Brides. Now beginning James Michener 's The Source.

September 5, 201511 yr I still have most of the Michener books in hardback. I love Michener. But one reason I only read him sparingly is the struggle I always have getting through his first chapter. It's always imprtant, but always the most difficult for me.
