paNDA
The legend, Jamie Walz! Next thread.
5thregion
No Div 3 players has played in the WNBA. Melissa Beyruti was the last girl who even had a sniff, but now is a coach in NJ. She ended her career in 2010 with a D3 record 397 3 pointers. It's not to say the WNBA doesn't look at D3's, but she may have hurt her chances by going D3. BIGZIG
Sydney Moss was an exceptional player while playing for Heritage Academy, Ryle and Boone Cty and was deserving of the recognition she received while playing. With that being said Jaime Walz was and is a Kentucky High School LEGEND and to compare Ms Moss to her would not be fair to Ms Moss and would be an insult to Jaime Walz..Enough said. Oldercoach
Walz stats. Total career points - 4948 (1st all time, boys or girls) Total Rebounds - 1762 (4th all time) Steals - 1004 (2nd all time) Assists - 1354 (1st all time) Other notes: Scored 1000pts in a season TWICE! Avg 37 per night her junior year with most teams playing a triangle and two...and the two on her! Scored 60 against Conner in a game and followed that up the next year against Conner with 53! All those points and still leads in assists Gatorade National Player of the Year. Moss is OUTSTANDING, but still a notch behind Walz...as is everyone else! She's not a bad one to be behind or even be put in the same league. Remember hearing that several No. ky. boys coaches saying Jamie could have started on most of the 9th region boys teams her last three years. Not sure why she changed but she had an really nice freshman year before she moved to D3. That could help her.

I think if you can play scouts will find you. No matter where you play or who you play for. If Moss is good enough to play in the WNBA she will. The fact that she plays D3 has no bearing on that. Lawnboy13
Seen both, gimme Jamie Walz ANYDAY of the week. She was better than some of the varsity guys playing back then. Let's not go crazy with that last line. Remember hearing that several No. ky. boys coaches saying Jamie could have started on most of the 9th region boys teams her last three years. I stand corrected.
