The rule simply says you cannot hang on the rim other than to prevent injury. Neither of these can be claimed to prevent injury. The T came because both not only hung on the rim but they spun around.

To be clear...Avery dunk wasnt called a T. He got fouled on it and made the and one free throw.

 

Biden's dunk WAS called a T.

 

That's why I posted both. Because one looked worse than the other, yet WASN'T called a T.

 

Bolden will have to sit the first two games of the Lloyd Tournament.

I second this and maybe the only time! Terrible that the T was called. Kid was below him. Really terrible IMO. And it looked like the game was tight late there

Holmes was up 73-68 after that dunk with under a min left. DLS makes both fts to make it 73-70 plus gets the ball back. Holmes held tight on defense and got the rebound after a 3 attempt to win.

Sweet the Holmes-DLS thread...double tech called on him and a DLS player with 602 left in the 1st qtr, then picked up the cheap tech for "hanging" on the rim after the dunk shown in this thread.

 

He will sit the first two games of the Lloyd tourney then be back for a semi final game against either Conner or Newport.

Who's to say what the player was thinking as it happened real time? With the recent injury scare that Bolden had he may be gun shy with anyone near him on that kind of play. I think I would tend to hang long enough to make sure I could come down and land straight. I agree with Walter on the inconsistency of refereeing but refereeing all over is just awful imo. I have seen enough games lately to wonder where some of these guys come from. Maybe that's another thread to beat to death.
