I favor the more recent "True Grit" over the John Wayne original.

Also, I think Ocean's 11 is a remake. I can't imagine the original was better.

If you haven't seen it, don't say it's better. The original Ocean's 11 with the rat rack is way better.

Now ow there have been too many remakes that were just horrible, too many to count but at the top of the list are Brian's Song the Disney remake was horrid and Red Dawn.

They couldn't do 21st century set and stuff in the 1960's

I bet that once it comes out, many will say the new Mad Max with Tom Hardy will be better than the original.

This one probably doesn't count because it was a remake of a TV show to a movie, but "The Lone Ranger" had to be one of the worst attempts at a remake in the history of cinema.

I'm that one knucklehead that finds both "The Lone Ranger" (movie version) and "Wild Wild West" (with Will Smith) imminently watchable.

The Last Godzilla movie was much better than the one with Matthew Broderick. I liked it much better because they used pretty much the same story lines of the ones from the 60's. But to me, my all time favorite Godzilla movie was the very first one with Raymond Burr.
