Glad to hear this. I really like watching Nelson play on this team. I was at the Ryle game and thought they did a very nice job with that one. Way to go young gentlemen!

Holy Cross 6-4 coming off a big 15 point win over Highlands on Monday.

 

Also beat Brossart and St. Henry. Lost to Holmes on a 3 at the buzzer. Lost to CCH by 16 and Campbell Co by 15.

Brossart played Holmes tough in the Evans Fieldhouse Monday night. Led for 3-quarters before succumbing 44-41.

I think you asked that earlier. They are playing exclusively JV/Varsity. Venneman, Schoellman and Huber have also logged some minutes on the JV.

The CCH/NCC game next week should be a good one. CCH is playing at a high level and handling teams fairly easy. Newcath has won 7 in a row (handful of them are blow outs) after a 1-3 start (probably due to adjusting roles in losing Hall and Pangallo to JV). They are back at it tonight on the Hill vs St. Henry.

^^ Not a good night for the Brossart freshmen as Mason County had their way for the most part in posting a 47-32 win.

 

Scotty Muse led all scorers with 17. Big man - 6'7" Dalton Perkins impressed. Great mobility and good hands for a big man.

 

Mason County led 10-8 after one, 27-20 at the half, 36-29 after three and coasted to the final - 47-32.

 

The Mustangs get a much needed week off, before taking on Scott in the SyDome one week from last night.

Ludlow freshman finished 2nd in the Grant Co Christmas Tournament. Beat the host team Grant Co 48-32 in round 1 and then beat Nicholas Co in the semifinals by 10. The Panthers fell to Boone Co in the Championship game. Tonight they travel to NCC for a tough encounter with the Breds.

Cooper boys had a nice win last night over Highlands. Way to go Jags.

NCC Freshman lose to Simon Kenton last night 48-41 (I believe). Terrible showing by the Breds. Better bounce back tonight as I'm sure Coach Gray will have the Panthers ready to go up on the Hill.
