I don't think CVH was guarding him then. I don't recall a point for Seibert in the first half.

He had a floater in the lane in the first half.

Also, he (CVH) isn't overly quick or explosive to the basket.

On this point I will wholeheartedly disagree. His first step is super quick, and he finishes through contact at the rim exceptionally well. Given he already has a handful of D1 offers, I think some would disagree about his game translating to the D1 level.

I think it is fair that if he stays at 6'1", it changes what he is at the next level, but how many 15 year olds not named Maile are doing growing? :bunny:

Strangely, and given he was the Most Outstanding Player of a Sweet 16 game as a freshman it is more confounding, but I think Cole is incredibly under-rated by many on this site. I don't think there is a real appreciation for just how good he is in all facets.

Not in my book, I would take an entire team of him . A complete player. Kid has game!

I'm looking forward to seeing him this Friday at Trinity.

First of all I was not dismissing him at all, I personally wouldn't trade him for any kid in NKY based on:

A- His ability to defend and his desire to defend

B- His Basketball IQ

C- His scoring ability

I believe he has all 3 combined at a higher level than any player in the area.

But I was mainly talking about him playing a a high D1 level, I know he has D1 offers and I believe he will play D1 but if a kid receives a D1 offers in 9th grade it is only natural to want to see if his game develops to where he could play at UK,UC, UofL, Xavier etc. level.

If he does not grow beyond 6'1 then he will probably have to be a point guard at a High D1 level, if he has as quick as 1st step as you say and can finish at the rim against the highest level of competition then he should end up at the high level d1 level because he will have the intangibles to go along with physical talent needed to play at that level.

If Saint Henry only had 19 TO's it sure seemed like 30, bottom line with this game is St. Henry had no continuity on offense due to CC pressure and the pace at which they played. St. Henry should have beat the press 1st and then slowed the game down by running an offense that would make CC have to play defense for a period of time before a shot was taken. Also, St. Henry should have play ed the game inside/out running their offense thru the Kunstek kid. Too many ill advised and quick shots.

Young man is "thick"!

By the time he is a senior there will be a lot of D1 programs that know what CVH stands for.

As a Cov Cath fan .......this worries me moving forward.

I got there as the frosh were leaving the court. Covcath frosh team looked to have a lot of players.

Both schools had nice student sections last night.

Crusaders brought a nice crowd to banter back and forth with the Crazies.

Late in the half when the Cru narrowed the gap to 5, the Crazies started chanting "Let's play football".

Cru fans did not miss a beat and responded with "Let's play soccer".

....at which point CovCath fired a medley of every other sport in their athletic department. That was good stuff. :thumb:
