I hear that all the time from JC fans. The truth is when JC has stepped out onto the state stage vs state competition they have failed more than they have succeeded. What is their record vs HHS, Cov Cath, Boyle, Bell? Will they ever step out and play great programs beyond their comfort zone? Belfry has pretty good records vs all opponents. Plus three state titles and numerous finals appearances.

I think Belfry is the king in EKY. As for JC, win something. Belfry has become the Kings of their class through no fault of their own. Blame the classification system of our sacred organization if you like. But I think it's pretty rich to argue that JC is anything but an also-ran.
