Miraculous Final Play Of Owensboro vs. North Oldham Game (Video)

Featured Replies

It would have been about as bad for Owensboro to lose. It served up a free T D from an unforced fumble. OHS had 310 yards rushing alone and another 100 passing But fumbled trying to lean in for a T D to make it 28-14. Instead Beasley had a great 64 yard run to tie it with 2 mins left. OHS only punted twice...the 2 fumbles were killers. The 2nd was about 6 minutes left. Wow.

Oboro out gains NO 421-249...North got the 64 yd run and 41 yd reception by Beasley in those final 2 minutes plus. Both good teams. Congrats to both

The play just made SportsCenter's Top 10 at #10.

Just saw that. Very nice.

Didn't Mr. Hoge nominate this? If so, thanks

Good luck in Bowling Green.

I doubt it...he might have but I doubt it.

It was worthy of big time highlight and instead of complaining and thinking out loud that the only way this great play could get on something like SC is to know someone...I say baloney

I say someone at O sent it in and it got aired...entitlement drives me absolutely nuts and if you want something you either have to stand up for yourself and ask or accept it as it is...

Good for Owensboro for standing up for themselves, this is most probably why you will be playing my Birds this Sat for a State Championship instead of telling people you deserve to be there or you are entitled to be there...:thumb:

I can say that along with the massive support from the Homers & OHS fans, Hoge did help get the video to the right people. Thought it was awesome of him to help out!! Here is his tweet in response to us asking him to pass the video along....

@merrilhoge: @dvanrealtor sent it in out of control now the selection committee picks them. See you guys Saturday

I will say this.....I've been broadcasting HS sports for 35 years....and never have I called an ending like this one. Too bad they didn't include the audio in the attached clip....you could have all heard me screaming my head off!! LOL......I'll probably have to wait another 35 years for another one like that....
