Worst Christmas songs

Featured Replies

I had to start a thread on this after hearing this atrocious song by Barry Manilow on the radio this weekend. He tried to do what Bing and David Bowie did by combining 2 songs and all I can say is it failed terribly!! The last verse is un-listenable if that is a word.

So #1 on the list of horrible Christmas songs this year goes to "What a wonderful world/What a wonderful Life"

"Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" would be at the top of my list, but there are a lot of really awful ones that pop up year after year.

Feliz Navidad

This. You can close the thread now.

Heck yeah, this song sucks in so many ways.

Plus Dean Martin singing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is terrible.

I really wanted to say something bad about you for this, but darn it, for all your many, many faults and shortcomings, a lack of proper expertise in Christmastide is not among them. When you're right, you're right; this song is super annoying.

Dude, it's Randy Parker. His Christmas knowlege is unsurpassed for his age.

I find "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" extremely unsettling. The song is, of course, actually about a kid seeing his father dressed up as Santa Claus, but from the narrator's point of view... that kid thinks he's watching his mother having an affair. Creepy.

No doubt. Credit where credit is due.

Please Daddy (Don't Get Drunk for Christmas) - John Denver

Please Daddy don't get drunk this Christmas

I don't want to see my Momma cry

Please Daddy don't get drunk this Christmas

I don't want my Momma cry

Just last year when I was only seven

Now I'm almost eight, as you can see

You came home a quarter past eleven

And fell down underneath

Our Christmas tree

Nuff said.

This would get my vote as well.

Yeah, so did my kids until I wised up.
