I don't think he does either, you said the majority of your calls are correct and that prompted my response "I am sure that will be debated by GIAT". I was referring to your guys debate about Ferguson and McDavid...

Sorry if you misunderstood where I was going...hope this clears it up.

It's cool, I'm just playing around anyways. Next season when Ashland plays Elliott, GIAT and me are going to sit together and watch and the loser has to buy the other one a post-game meal!

He would use a crossover and take Rondo to the hole and dunk on him is what would happen. Then Rondo would hang his head and his AAU coach would call a press conference to complain that his crossover was too quick. Then somehow or other, Tubby Smith would get blamed for it.

One of the top 5 defensive guards in college basketball and he would abuse him. I didn't realize he was that much of a talent. What schools have watched him? Any interest?

I'll agree that Rondo gets a lot of steals and is a good defensive player if you'll agree that Morris stayed in foul trouble all season because Rondo gambled on defense and got beat to the hole time after time.

You are right Morris did stay in foul trouble a lot this season . But I need for you to explain to me what that has to do with Owens beating Rondo off the dribble. Sorry about thinking that you are from Sandy Hook but your post lead that way.

If Dane Bradshaw can beat Rondo off the dribble then I'd say that Owens would as well.

Morris stayed in foul trouble because he couldn't keep his feet on the floor. To blame Rondo for Morris's foul trouble is like saying the reason Rondo's shooting hasn't improved is because the coaching staff was devoting to much time to getting Morris eligible. Rondo is one of those guards that take defensive chances and if you are coached then it is the responsiblity of the middle men to pick up on your misses. If they couldn't get Morris to do that without hacking his way to five fouls then maybe we should blame coaching!!!!! Morris's fouls came at an average of 2 a game on fouls after he had made a bum offensive play not because Rondo took chances on defense. We also could blame Morris's inability to rebound the basketball on making Rondo the leading rebounder on the team??????????/

You have your opinion and I have mine. We would not have made the NCAA tournament this year if we didn't have Morris. We probably would have won 25 or more games if Rondo would've had a good team-oriented attitude.

Owens is no doubt an outstanding player, but tries to make a show out of the game of ball, rather than getting his teammates involved. I seen him make some extremely tough passes to some of the players, one been to Smith in the corner when he through a shuvvle pass from about 10 foot away and missed Smith by about 10 feet. The next trip Pat Elliot was turning around and he threw a rocket pass and then spun around. He missed Elliot by a large margin on this pass too. But things like this could possibly be coached with, if gaving a good coach. Not knocking any of his previous coaches. I just wanted to brag on Owens, Gilbert, and Smith. These three i beleive were the only ones dunking for the East in warm-ups besides the big kid from Boyle County. Owens was doing some incredible dunks in warm-ups, this kid has mad hops. I didnt know Smith had that kind of Hops either, he did some impressive dunks also. Good Luck to Owens, i would love to see him sign with a big college. Id like to watch a mountain boy on ESPN.

Never thought about that, but the four was the only ones for the east dunking during warmups. Owens was doing whatever he wanted with the ball in the air, Gilbert threw a couple witht eh classical dunks, onehanded and a decent 2 handed dunk and Smith threw a couple 180's and reverse dunks that were nice. The athleticism really showed through during warmups, since Smitha and Gilbert didnt get the chance during the game.

We can agree. I don't think we make the tourney without Morris. It is easy to see that the NBA thought he needed more seasoning. He will be a great player his senior season in the SEC with some great big men for competition at LSU and Florida.

I think Owen's would give Rondo a run for his money in many aspects of the game.

Wow, what are you smokin?:creepy: Obviously you have no idea of how hard it is to play at the next level.

Well Redblood Its like this,The same Joe B Hall told Owens that

there is no dought that he is the best player in the state,I know this

I was there, right beside him.Now there is alot Owens needs to

improve on,like all kids Owens will move on and be just fine.

I know this to be a fact,I know Owens real well.:thumb:

Thats exactly what Owens didnt need to hear. Someone else telling him that he is the best player in the state. When he learns to be more of a TEAM player then and only then will he be considered one of the best

I agree, Owens definitely doesn't need anyone else telling him how good he is. Im impressed by the remark by Hall but he needs coaches to give him some insite on how to play a TEAM game.

I don't see why everyone is down on him from this game. He only missed 2 shots the whole game, seems pretty good to me. Also in college, he won't have to be the man every night out like he was at Boyd Co, but he does have the talent to be that kind of player if he can harness his talent. Which I believe he will. People need to remember that this was only his 1st season of playing varsity basketball and it is hard to argue with the numbers he put up with so limited experience.

It is in just some peoples blood to be HATERS:mad:

Oh but they all love and care about Owens, yeah right...They all just want to bash in every post....It is amazing to me.

Owens will survive and become a great college player, with or without them:thumb:
