Is Rock music dead?

Except for touring old timers bands, are there any Rock Bands in Music today?

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not 100% in tune with current music trends, but it just seems as if there is no new Rock music being released...just Pop Music.

What current bands if any would you consider to be Rock Musicians?

Rock music isn't in the pop mainstream any more, but it's still out there.

Now that nobody actually buys music from the record companies anymore except 13 year old girls... pop music is all for 13 year old girls.

Rock music is definitely still out there and there are people doing amazing things. You're not going to see it on major TV stations or hear it on big-time radio.

Who do I need to be looking for...please give me some names...I hate for the most part what is on the radio today...end up listening to older stuff on IHeart all of the time.

CWB or somebody else might be able to help you out there.

I'm the wrong guy to ask.

Everything written after 1850 is garbage anyway.

I've always liked Nickelback. They have been pretty quiet the last couple years, but I think they are just now coming out with their new album.

They are about as 'non-poppy' as it gets this day and time.

Stop listening to commercial radio would be my best suggestion. If you want to hear new rock'n'roll, public radio is where it's at.

Not really a genre I'm into much these days, but I still hear a random throwback song once in a while that makes me smile.

Airbourne, takes a lot of influence from AC/DC.

(nsfw)

Jettblack, some dudes maybe stuck in the 80's.

Hardcore Superstar, some dudes from Sweden where I'm guessing Guns n Roses still rules.
