November 13, 201411 yr There's a celebratory style German maypole on the property of the Hofbrauhaus in Newport standing high in the sky depicting past German heritage using human characters dressed in old style German clothing. It's obviously not meant to poke fun at their past, but to celebrate it. I'm doubting that any German folk find it offensive, but going with the a certain mindset theoretically someone could find objection to it one way or another if they were digging deep for it. Not saying that objection would be warranted but it seems that you could spin things anyway you might if you want to go to a ridiculous extreme.
November 13, 201411 yr It dehumanizes a race of people giving a false sense of being OK and is another form of genocide.Genocide? Really? A sign is another form of genocide? I almost think the sign should have to remain now for such a stupid, radical lie.
November 13, 201411 yr Ha...I found something I can be offended by... Don't be making fun of Fat Boys!!!!
November 13, 201411 yr "Where Paddock meets Vine at the big Indian sign!" Guess you couldn't use that slogan anymore. "Where Paddock meets Vine at the big Indian sign" lost forever. Say it ain't so. In a related story, I heard from a reliable source that Buddy, in fact, did care about making money rather than just loving to sell carpet.

November 14, 201411 yr How about Cracker Jacks...how's that still allowed. I'm thinking Cracker Jacks was around long before the term "cracker" came to be used as a derogatory.
