It's also not easy to impede JT's development. He will come into the season as a Heisman candidate next year. Guess that's why Urban makes almost 5 million a year to figure all that out.
Yep, 2 Heisman candidate QB's for one spot. Nice problem to have.

Buckeyes were very impressive tonight. A great road win. They better not sleep on Minnesota next Saturday

:thumb: They are playing well.

This result surprised me. Meyer is a top-tier coach, no doubt.

It could have been worse. MSU fumbled 2 or 3 times where it looked like OSU had the best chance for the ball but did not come up with it. OSU dropped a pick 6 and committed some really dumb penalties in the first half. I came away very impressed with OSU last night. JT is getting better and that offense is becoming very, very good.

JT is certainly going to make the 2015 QB situation interesting in Columbus.

No kidding Clyde! I have always thought the whole "you cannot lose your job to injury" argument was not true. Happens all the time and I think it will happen to Miller. I wonder if he can/would play another position? I doubt it but wonder. A lot can happen before next fall but it will definitely be interesting. OSU is VERY YOUNG too. They will be a pre-season top 5 team next year.

Yup and OSU special teams spotted Sparty 14 points. It was a good win but only played a B level game.

Didn't think the Bucks would win at East Lansing. They have really come together.

Not bad for a team that gets 70-80% of it's scoring from fresh/sophs. Future is bright as Urb will bring in another top 5-10 class.

Best thing about this game: Now surely we won't see a playoff spot wasted on a Big Ten team.

Don't sweat it, have to figure the committee is pretty intelligent.

A lot of quiet OSU haters in this thread.

Same committee who had your Auburn Tigers in who was a 23 point favorite over A&M.. Doh!

Is the committee putting out point spreads?

OSU is back in the conversation if anyone likes it or not.

I do think they need some help, but there are several scenarios that bode well for Ohio St to make the Final Four.

With this win, barring a complete breakdown OSU will enter next season in the top 4 IMO, maybe even pre-season #1 due to the amount of returning talent. Voters like to vote for who has the best chance to prove them right and OSU will be the overwhelming favorite in every game next season.

Let's not be getting high and mighty here on opponents. So far OSU has beaten their ONE tough opponent. It's pretty easy to prepare for only one tough game a year. AU came off of a ROAD victory over a Top 10 team. Beat KState, another top 10 team, on the road. Hammered LSU. You don't want to get into a resume battle.

Enjoy the win but let's keep everything in perspective. You beat a team that ALSO doesn't have a really strong win unless you count the Huskers who also don't have a strong win.

With that said they may be the best team in the country. The selection committee simply doesn't have a lot to base that on.

23 point favorite, you can keep putting lipstick on the pig but it's still a pig.
