Bowling Green 6 Scott 4

Featured Replies

Heard the center ref is icing his arm like a MLB pitcher after giving out the cards to both teams....

Fyi....the announcers on khsaa tv really ripped Scott for their play......listen to the diatribe starting with 48.7 second left.

Everything the commentators said was true.

Yes hoops, they did represent NKY, that's my point.

Obviously Bowling Green has the best offense in the state.

Agree with otbb84, some real quality goals, and by both teams. Shame Scott did not show some quality in loosing,

embarrassing.

Thought most important goal of the game was BG second goal with just under 2 minutes left in first half. Not great quality but great importance. Changed entire momentum going into halftime, and it showed, BG scores two quick goal to start second half.

I'd rather an NKY team not play in the title game if that means an NKY doesn't show poor sportsmanship to the whole state.

Hard to argue with this.......a shame also. Scott players were playing their hearts out. Morgan with the great run and goal...hitting that fantastic free kick that skimmed off the inside of the cross bar for the gaol, then showing his emotions by urging his team on and calling them back for the restart like the job wasn't finished.....

Unfortunately, this one will be discussed for the loss of discipline instead of the great efforts. The yelling at the refs, players having to come from the back line and almost tackle other players,to keep them from mouthing off anymore.......just watch the khsaa.tv after BG scoredmthe 5th goal....

So congrats to BG for the title. Congrats to Scott for being the only other team playing tonight.

If you do not things got out of control, please watch the video and decide, for yourself....

Very disappointed with the way Scott represented NKY in the second half. Filthy play. No composure once they started losing. 3 red cards. Hacking. Flopping. Treadway didn't even have the decency to put his uniform back on after taking his jersey off in temper after being issued his, well deserved, red card. College coaches will be looking for a bit more self control when facing adversity.

The end was pretty ugly, I have not seen someone run around hacking so much and then throw a fit when he is given a Red for his behavior... he is lucky he did not hurt someone in the last few minutes of the match.

You cannot blame the players for playing hard. You can blame the ref for losing control of the game.

Morgan kept pretty controlled all night considering tensions were running so high. Great free kick. His controlled, solid, KHA training showed through tonight.

Sounds like the players did more than play hard and the ref tried to keep control.

The refs.

There is a difference between playing hard and what you will see on the video. The ref gave, out, perhaps the record number of cards for a state game. At some point, the coaches and players are to blame. I did not see 1 substitution for actions, other than what was required by the cards.

On a side note....that was the most involved I have seen a 4 th referee ever. I thought they were responsible for substitutions and timing, etc......he seemed to be making calls and giving cards from the sideline.

No ref could deal any better with what was going on in that match. He was like a baby sitter trying to control a big bunch of unruly kids. The minute you get one settled down, another one will start acting up!

A babysitter for "California Parents" that never tell their kids no and discipline them...

I do not agree with this at all. Considering how the players ended up playing, I think he did a pretty good job. If everything I saw was called as it should have been, Scott might have not ended up with 7 players on the field, granted, I was watching it on line and had the benefit of replay.

A few players did play very hard (Morgan is one I will mention), some played very hard and also fouled very excessively, others even went out of their way to deliver a cheap shot... watch the tape. I do not understand how people can get playing hard confused with hacking and delivering cheap shots.

Interesting that anyone in N. Ky. would be surprised by this game or how Scott played. Redneck, hack team and they have been that way the last few years. 3 reds in a state final? What an embarassment. Congrats to BG. Glad they won.

I thought he had a great match!!!
