And that deer of course was "staged" in the cut grass by the pampas grass. Because Mr. Lawildcat would not be in camo and harvest off the porch? :lol2:

Nice deer and congratulations...:)

Correct. Already field dressed and brought home to hang. Of course, we could sit on our back deck and shoot them left and right but what's the fun in that? Am I right?! Besides, I'd probably shoot a cow instead. They taste better to me.

My Dad took an 8 point buck. Brother took two does and shot me a text today to see how much and what meat I wanted. Good brother...

This is my son's deer that he got on opening day while with his step dad. It was his first buck!! I am very proud of the outdoorsman that he is becoming.

Indeed.

Having some issues with seeing deer. We have had the same two stands up for a couple of years now and just recently added a new stand. We have always seen deer at the two older spots but have not seen nearly as much after adding the new stand. Why could this be?

Maybe the smell of the new stand?

Any other changes around you? Agricultural rotation, clearcuts, etc.?

My first question is why did you put the 3rd stand where you did ? Deer have historical travel patterns that utilize the terrain features. Setting the stand could cause a change in the pattern just because of foreign introduction.

This morning would be an ideal one to be out in the deer woods. Goodluck to all...:thumb:
