This morning would be an ideal one to be out in the deer woods. Goodluck to all...:thumb:

Saw an 8pt and his chick today on the way to work. He was just outside his ears.

Haven't been seeing much either, before today. Saw three does early (7ish). my brother in law froze out and went home at 10:20. At 12:20 things started hoppin. Hard to give an exact count, but around 7 does, and 6 bucks. Two shooters, one of which was a HUGE old dark horned buck. All the bucks were chasing the same doe with a spike leading the pack. The BIG BOY was third in line. I just couldn't get a shot. :banghead:

Well I don't have anything to go nuts over, but I took two at the same time yesterday.

My buddy was set up overlooking a huge field and had 6 come into view. He took the shot and dropped one, the rest ran right into me. I was set up down in the woods overlooking a little valley with a dried up creek bed. All of the sudden I hear his shot, and a minute later I had 4 right on top of me. I took one and thought what the heck, more meat so I took a second. One was a doe, one was a button. Thought they were both doe when I took the shots.

Youngest passed on an decent 8 this weekend. Wanted a doe. None came. Hard to believe. Proud of him however.

What's your alls thoughts on hunting today after the snow? I've got no experience hunting with snow on the ground. Think they'll be moving

Love to hunt in the snow. Especially if you are hunting in the woods. Can see everything. The few times I've hunted in the snow I've seen deer. Doesn't seem to affect their movements at all.

Totally, totally agree. And your scent is masked IMO.

Sweet, wish me luck

I was hoping to get in some post snow hunting this morning. Unfortunately, all we had was rain. I love hunting in the snow.
