Region 3 and 4 are a joke, Picking a champion out of region 1 or 2 is a no brainer. Here is a dose of reality for you, Meade County beats Henry Clay with their defense. Central Hardin Rides their defense to semifinals or finals. Henry Clay and Bryan Station give up tons of points and try to out score teams, not a recipe for success in the playoffs.

 

That sounds good but out side of Male for Meade these teams have seen nothing like the Lexington schools athletically across the board and Station's QB didn't play the Ballard game. They say he's healed up and ready to go.

Still no answer about home field for the hypothetical Dixie vs Lafayette matchup.

 

6A is confusing because of the rotating playoff matchups. Since they are both #1 seed in even numbered district (in even year), Dixie would host 3rd round game because they are the higher # district. For the semi final game it should at whoever wins the regional championship because they are the even # regiong (even year).

My understanding is that Dixie has secured homefield advantage throughout the playoffs, excluding the championship game.

Lexington districts are a lot more talented this year. Lafayette, Henry Clay, Brant Station all look talented. Explosive skill players. Quick scores have a tendency to mask deficiencies.

I would agree that the bottom bracket is very weak. 4 teams can emerged ie Lafayette, SK, Dixie and Ballard. Ballard is a nice ball club. I got the change to see them play/ scrimmage Lex Cath and was very impress the size of their skill players.

I will say that while the bottom bracket is less impressive than the top bracket it still won't be easy for any of those teams. I think Ballard emerges but there are 4-6 teams that wouldn't surprise me if they made it. Yes, SK is one of those teams.
