Notre Dame Academy 3 Highlands 0

Do you think their religious faith might have a bearing on the decision? Would an all girls environment impact the decision? Would staying with classmates that they have been with throughout grade school be a factor? Or, would all these things just be afterthoughts, taking a back seat to sports?

Maybe you could if any parents have one child in public and one in private why? I doubt it would be about religion or classmates, more like keeping a club team together year round.

Or, perhaps the child in the public school was the one who opted out of going to the private school? I do not know, do you?

Been asking for details on what the drama has been on the sidelines......but no details ever given....

Better than a cliff hanger at the end of the season.........Who shot JR?

Nothing to see here. Move along! Aren't you stuck in some podunk hotel anyway.

I think KHSAA should look at moving private schools to their own division. You have 2 private schools competing for the regional title and probably NDA will advance quickly in the state. This happens year after year!!! Let the private schools battle it out in their own league!! Who really cares who wins at that point.

That's ridiculous! Do you feel the same about Highlands football. It's not about multi color ribbons my friend. I do know, I should have gotten into the trophy and ribbon business, say about 20 years ago. I have never seen so many purple, yellow, green, brown, pink, orange...... you get the point. Nobody cares if they get the Blue Ribbon anymore it seems. Let's water it down and settle. Ahhhh the good ole American new way!

The Highlands girls soccer season is over. Now would be the time to schedule a meeting with the coach if you are so unhappy. Give him a chance to hear you. Don't post on here, hiding behind a screen name and bad mouth your kid's coach. What happened to teaching kids to respect adults regardless of playing time or his personal choices. YOUR kids hear you! No other school gets on here and bad mouths their coach. Do something about it. Be respectful and honest and give him a chance.

NDA played awesome. Best of luck to them. Don't take this away from them and make it into something about Highlands.

When was the last time Highlands girls played in a Region final?

A bigger question is this rivalry matchup turining into another one we know so well...

Is it becoming a mental thing for Highlands? Lets face it folks, NDA is a machine in Girls sports as they should be...:thumb:

Last year. Lost to NDA 3-0. With what they were thought to have returning made them a favorite to make at least that game again.

Highlands defeated NDA in the semifinals of the LexCath tourney last year before falling to Sacred Heart in the finals.

Respect is earned. nuff said.

I have seen Highlands play several times this year and I have never seen girls laying in the ground crying, ripping their jersey off, or stomping their feet going to the car after the game. Against Notre Dame in the regional the other night, I saw a with a lot of fight and pride. If the girls were so upset like post I have read all season about the coach, he would have "lost" the team a long time ago and they would have been basically blown off the field by a team as good as NDA. EVERY team has a fews parents that are not happy about how the coach runs an offense or defense, or players he plays in a game. However to play as hard nosed and passionate as the Bird's did in that game (tied 0 to 0) at the half the coach is doing something right. And no I don't have a dog in the fight.

Which goes back to the Rivers decision to not play for Highlands.

From what I understand, her OE coach and some college coaches that were looking at her advised her against playing high school soccer this year. You may hear a different story but I know that she still works out and trains at a certain fitness center.

From what I was told there was some question as to whether or not she would be attending Highlands this year thus she did not tryout. It is also my understanding that based upon what happened throughout the year that she was more than happy that she made this decision.

Why don't you just name that certain fitness center? Give the guy a plug.
